Calgary Stampeders will host their provincial rivals Edmonton Elks to grab the third victory in a row. In week 1, the Stamps came from a 10-point halftime deficit to win the game by 30-27 points. Rene Paredes scored a field goal in less than a minute left on the clock to win it for the home side.

Again, the Stampeders pulled an incredible comeback in Hamilton last week from 24-3 points behind. They scored 27 points in the second half to push the match into extra time. The winning points once again came from Rene’s boot as they sealed the game by 30-33 points.

Elsewhere, Edmonton Elks suffered two defeats in a row to begin the season. In week 1, the Elks were poor in all rounds and got smashed by 59-15 points by the Lions.

They showed some signs of improvement last week in their 16-26 points defeat against the Roughriders. Edmonton Elks started the fourth quarter with a point lead but suffered a 10-point defeat at the end.

Elks vs Stampeders Pick and Prediction

Calgary Stampeders are over the moon after securing two victories in a row. The incredible comeback against last year’s Grey Cup runners-up will give them a lot of heart. The Stamps will be full of confidence when they take on the Elks in front of the home crowd.

The Elks, on the other hand, are improving their game. They were much better in week 2 in their defeat against the Roughriders.

Nick Arbuckle, Elks quarterback, has thrown for 569 yards in two games. He showed great chemistry with Kenny Lawler which could come in handy against the Stamps.

The home side will be the favorites to win the game on paper. But the Stamps-Elks rivalry is a lot more than on paper. It will be a close game as the Elks will push hard to find their first victory.

The Elks might not do enough to defeat the spirited Stamps. Our pick is the Stampeders to secure a narrow victory over the Elks.
