Christian Eriksen has been a free agent since the season ended. Man United, Tottenham, and Brentford are showing interest to sign the Danes.
The 30-year-old creative midfielder played for Brentford in the last season. He scored a goal and assisted 4 in 10 appearances as the Bees finished mid-table in the Premier League.
The Red Devils are in a state of rebuilding under their new manager Erik ten Hag. With the Frenchman Paul Pogba set to leave the club, Erik ten Hag is prioritizing the midfield for improvement. They have offered €60m for Frenkie de Jong and are trying to land Eriksen for free as well. According to David Ornstein, the Red Devils have made an offer to Christian Eriksen.
But Eriksen is preferring his former side Tottenham Hotspur to make a sensational return, according to the reports of The Athletic. Moreover, the North London club can offer Champions League to Eriksen, which the Red Devils couldn’t. Man United will play in the Europa League this upcoming season.
It would be a sensational return for Eriksen to his former club and professional football. The Danes had collapsed on the pitch due to a cardiac arrest in the Euro 2020 (held in 2021). He was on the verge of hanging his boots.
Christian Eriksen is expected to play magnificently in the upcoming season and lead Denmark in the FIFA World Cup 2022.
